About Glen Street Practice

It is possible to get a repeat script or an updated referral over the phone or by email request. This is entirely at the discretion of the doctor and you may be asked to make an appointment.

There are some ‘rules’ though. You must be a current patient (seen within the last 12 months), the medication must be one prescribed at Glen Street previously or, for referrals, the referral must be to a specialist we have sent you to before. There is a $15 or $16 fee for this service.

Our fees for typical consultation items are displayed within the practice. Patients are advised about fees before undertaking a particular procedure or treatment.

Patient Invoices are paid on the day, we do not issue accounts. Patients can use cash, cheque, credit card (not Diners or American Express) and EFTPOS cards. We also accept credit cards over the phone.

Like many practices in Australia, Glen Street Practice has a limited capacity to accept new patients but we would be very reluctant to completely close our doors to newcomers.

Please understand, however, if some doctors are not able to take on new patients at times. This is essential in order to enable the proper care of existing patients.

For the same reasons of capacity, if you have an urgent problem it may not be possible to give you an appointment with the doctor you would normally choose to see.

There are eight parking spaces immediately behind the practice, accessed off Glen Street.

If these are full, there is two hour free parking over the road at the shopping centre. There are two areas, either undercover or rooftop. Even though it is free you need to display a ticket.

Please observe the parking restrictions for street parking. The rangers have been known to take an interest from time to time.

There is a Clinipath collection agency on site at Glen Street Practice.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 1pm.

If you need to fast prior to having blood taken the simple way to do that is to remember the rule “only water after bed time”. Come in at 8am before breakfast. If you need to go on Saturday morning because of work there are agencies on the back of your Clinipath form which indicate Saturday opening.

The West Leederville Pharmacy is over the road inside the Coles shopping centre.

Free parking is available on three levels – undercroft, street level and rooftop. You must display a ticket and the street level parking is only 30 minutes rather than two hours.
